Cash is not an issue for the OHSAA according to the financial report from Laura Vermilya, after the proposed budget had expected a lost of income, but will see a net profit—

The Board voted to give each member school $1,250 donation from the Athletic Enrichment Fund.
January 2024 – OHSAA Board Approves Transfer Of $400,000 To Athletic Enrichment Fund
BUT…this past April they also approved keeping the annual $50 fee for every sanctioned sport that a school sponsors.
As an example below…Celina (according to the OHSAA web site) has 22 sports. Celina will pay $1,100 in fees for the 2026-27 school year.With every school receiving the same donation…smaller schools benefit more then the bigger schools with more sponsored sports.
