(8-2-26) The Summit Athletic Conference (SAC) after this year could completely change how they schedule football games…how much, still not known.

We do know that Ft. Wayne Concordia will be leaving for the ACAC next school year and that will leave the conference with just nine members. If the SAC doesn’t add a new member very soon…next season (2027) each member will have to try and find an opponent to replace Concordia on the schedule (on the week they they were scheduled to play Concordia) and that will be during weeks 3 to 9. Another solution would be if one more member decides to leave the SAC…conference football scheduling benefits the AD if there an even number of teams.

Will the first two weeks of the season remain as non-conference games or will the format change.

This will be the fourth year, most likely the final season, of the current scheduling format in the SAC.
