The mustangs are scheduled to open the soccer season on August 14th at Kenton.

Scott “Coach” Beach, age 58, passed away at St. Rita’s Medical Center on July 31, 2026, at 12:44 pm. He was born October 15, 1967, in Lima, OH, to David and Nancy (Groves) Beach.

He was a graduate of Shawnee High School, class of 1986. He attended The Ohio State University. On September 3, 1994, he married Jeanne M. (Nadeau) Beach at the St. John’s Catholic Church.

Scott has been coaching since 2005. He coached in the Ada, Shawnee, and Allen East school systems, along with the A.C. Elite Soccer Club. He also coached middle school and high school wrestling at Shawnee. After raising his children, coaching has been his greatest joy, and he is currently with Allen East High School girls’ soccer. Scott also enjoyed fishing, gardening, lure collecting, and bee-keeping.

He is survived by his parents, in-laws, Fredric and Diann Nadeau, wife, and 3 sons, Noah (Chelsey) Beach, Dylan (Reilly) Beach, and Cory (Haylie) Beach. In addition, he has siblings, Eric (Andrea) Beach, and Leigh (Bryan) Daily, along with his brothers-in-law, Jack (Kim) Nadeau, Joe Nadeau, and Jim Nadeau, his sisters-in-law, Lynne (Mark) Seiler, Michelle (John) Lewis, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marie, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

There will be a Mass of Christian burial held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 11:00 am at St. Johns Catholic Church. Officiating the mass will be Fr. Dan Borgelt. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date in Gethsemani Cemetery.
