(8-16-26) Jeremy Jenkins, the athletic director and head football coach of East Bernard (Texas) High School and his wife Brandy Jenkins, a teacher at East Bernard Junior High School, were killed in a car crash Saturday. 

The Jenkins’ 2025 Tesla Model Y overturned while attempting to meet a curve on northbound Highway 60 near County Road 210 at around 10:07 p.m. Saturday. Both Jeremy—the driver of the vehicle—and Brandy Jenkins were pronounced dead at the scene.
