(8-23-26) The 2026 High School football season starts off with a boom! Columbia (Alabama) ends their 101 consecutive game losing streak beating Greensboro on Saturday night 41-14. The streak started in 2015.

The opening week also saw the end of one winning streak… Carver (Columbus, Ga.) lost to Douglass 28-7 and that ends a 27 game winning streak.

Another losing streak ended as well… Swanton (Ohio) beat North Central 13-12 in OT to end the longest losing streak in Ohio at 37 consecutive games.

Many teams still did not start their season, the next couple of week s we will see more action.
