(9-26-26) What a week it was for consecutive game winning streaks in high school football

The Garden City-Massapequa football game was moved to Monday night due to the Nor’Easter. Garden City (N.Y.), owners of the nation’s longest current winning streak at 68 games, versus Massapequa (N.Y.) who has a 25 game winning streak.

Last night the 2nd longest consecutive game winning streak of 59 ended as Sheridan was shutout by Natrona County 38-0.

Another streak ended off the field this week …the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) said that Cherry Creek would forfeit their season-opening (Zero Week) win against Chatfield High School, retroactively officially ending their winning streak at 27 games.
