Celena Taborn’s 45 point game vs. St. Marys


(12-23-16) Sidney (Ohio) 6’3 Senior Center Celena Taborn celebrated Christmas early this year and is this week’s SSN National Girls Basketball Player of the Week..  Taborn led the Yellow Jackets to three straight wins, she had three double-doubles, including breaking her career high scoring numbers two games in a row, 32 against Greenville (12-21-16) and 45 against St. Marys (12-22-16).  In a win over Vandalia-Butler (12-19-16) she scored 17 points and had 16 rebounds.


Taborn now has 1,171 career points and has moved all the way up to #5 on the Sidney All-Time scoring list. With 13 regular season games remaining, Taborn is 385 points from becoming the Yellow Jackets career all-time point leader, a record that was just set last season.
