(4-3-17) This week in the SSN National Public High School Baseball Rankings, Buchanan continues to hold down the #1 spot again this week, but below them we’ve seen lots of changes.
Shawnee jumps two spots up to #2, Owasso makes a big move jumping 6 spots up to #4. Spring Hill, who was not rated last week is now #7, thanks in part to a 7-1 win over this week’s #9 team Decatur.

Another new member to the rankings is Colleyville Heritage, thanks to starting pitcher Alex Scherff, a possible #1 MLB draft choice in June. Scherff transferred back to Heritage this year after pitching Plano Prestonwood Christian to a Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) 5A state championship as a junior.
Two schools dropped out this week after losing, Barbe lost to New Iberia (13-7) 3-1 and Horizon was shut-out by Desert Vista (9-9-1) 6-0.
