(4-26-17) Coldwater Senior Tina Bruggeman will continue her Track and Field career at the University of St. Francis (Indiana). Bruggeman has thrown both the shot put and discus during he Cavalier career.
Tina has been a hard working athlete for us, she has put in her time and worked to get where she is today. It speaks to the dedication and determination to get better each day at what she does, and having that pay off to be able to go onto St. Francis and continue her throwing career. Tina is a very consistent thrower, and has been a big point during her career here at Coldwater high school. It takes many throwers a long time to refine their technique and build strength, and we have seen great improvements over Tina’s time here. She has put in that time and learned from a great throws coach, Randy Wright, who has been coaching throws for 30 years.
We are excited that she gets to join another Coldwater alumni Lauren Leugers at St. Francis, and we believe Tina will follow in those footsteps to go on to great things at the next level. Tina Bruggeman leaves a great legacy here at Coldwater High School, and we hope she ends her time here on a high note and advances as far as she can in the upcoming OHSAA state tournament.
