(7-9-17) Celina’s Seth Lonsway continues to pick up post season honors, this time the future Ohio State Buckeye was named to the 2017 MaxPreps Medium Schools All-American Baseball Team. He was one of 10 pitchers to be named, 8 of the 10 came from California or the southern states.

Joseph Perez of Archbishop McCarthy (Florida) was named the Player of the Year. Perez had a 4-0 pitching record and a fastball over 95 mph. At the plate, Perez batted .526 with a team-best nine home runs.
Coach of the Year went to Greg Olson of Calvary Christian (Clearwater, Fla.), 30-0.
Olson led his team to a perfect record, a Florida Class 4A state title and a No. 4 spot on the MaxPreps Xcellent 50 final national rankings.
