(9-30-17) Shawnee won its 18th WBL Girls Championship thanks to a 1st place finish in today’s conference tournament and finishing in 1st during regular season play. The championship is there first since 2009.

Shawnee’s championship end a four-year streak by Wapakoneta, who ended up in 3rd place this year.

The Indians won four of 5 championships today, losing only 3rd singles which was won by Bath’s Ruby Bolon.

St. Marys was 2nd today in the tournament, the Roughriders had two second place finishers, Clare Caywood in 1st singles (also won the Sportsmanship Award) and Jillian Wine was second in 2nd singles.
