Curtis Uhlenhake

(2-12-18) St. Henry’s Curtis Uhlenhake (6’3 Sr) is this week’s SSN Player of the Week.

Uhlenhake moved past Versailles Justin Ahrens and Keaton McEldowney to score the winning basket with just 4.5 seconds left in Friday’s 46-44 win over state ranked Versailles. The bounce-back win came after being upset by Celina last week, it was also the Tigers first MAC loss of the season. Uhlenhake had just 8 points on the night, but it was the key basket to win the game that was the big one.

With the win both teams are tied for second place in the MAC, both with one league loss and trailing Marion Local.

St. Henry Coach Eric Rosenbeck told Press Pros Magazine after the game:

“It was the play that Princeton used to knock off UCLA back in the 90s. Justin Ahrens is really good at going for steals and we used his aggressiveness against him. Curtis had a fantastic finish on the play to give us one last lead…”

‘Shooter’ Flatch:

Alright, boys, this is the last shot we got! We’re gonna run the picket fence at ’em! Jimmy, you’re solo right! Everett, Merle should be open on the other side of that fence! Now, boys, don’t get caught watchin’ the paint dry!
