(4-5-18) – One thing you can say about the Northeastern Athletic Conference, they don’t quit when they lose a team or have issues on their football programs (8-man at some schools) and numerous long-distance trips. But the NAC is a survivor.
Parkview Christian, out of Yorkville, is the newest member of the NAC. The Falcons are a full member of the IHSA and will be competing in its first Class 1A boys basketball tournament next season.
Parkview’s varsity sports include, boys and girls basketball and girls volleyball. The school is considering adding golf and baseball next season.
Don Davidson, Parkview’s AD and boys basketball coach told Kendall County Now:
“We felt that now is the time. It’s instant credibility.”
While the NAC is adding Parkview, Aurora Christian, is leaving and is joining the Metro Suburban Conference in the fall.
The NAC includes three Stateline area teams Christian Life, Keith, Alden-Hebron and South Beloit. Other members include, Christian Liberty, Faith Lutheran, Harvest Christian, IMSA, Mooseheart, Schaumburg Christian and Westminster Christian.
