Ohio All Star Team – #1 Justin Ahrens

(4-8-18) Future Ohio State Buckeye Justin Ahrens, from Versailles, was named MVP for the Ohio All Stars who beat Kentucky 99-90 in the match-up of some of the best players from the two states last night in the annual All-Star game played at Thomas More College (Crestview Hills, Ky).

Ahrens had 11 points, thanks to three 3’s and was one of seven Ohio players with nine points or more. Ahrens was Ohio’s D III Player of the Year and also was named to the All-SSN National Public High School team.

Deshon Parker (6’1 G) of Wayne led the Buckeye squad with 13 points.

Cooper’s Adam Kunkel (Belmont signee) led Kentucky with 14 points and was named MVP for the losers.

Mercer County’s Trevon Faulkner, Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball (NKU signee) added 13 points for Kentucky.
