(4-16-18) Sidney two-sport star Andre Gordon will transfer for his Senior season to play basketball at Huntington (W. Va) Prep. There will be no trouble moving to the national HS basketball power since they are not affiliated with any state association.

Gordon, last year as a junior he averaged 23 points, 5.5 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game for the Yellow Jackets. He leaves Sidney with 1,415 career points and is the school’s all-time leader in assists (418) and steals (168).
Gordon, a three-year starter at quarterback, the last three seasons for Sidney ended with over 6,000 total offensive yards and 63 touchdowns.
Gordon has offers from six mid-major school offers for basketball, including Akron, Cleveland State, Toledo and Wright State and has some interest from Ohio State.
Gordon follows the trend of many high school athletes who have decided to leave their home schools for national prep schools in hopes of getting more college offers.
