Celina’s Jackson Wins 800 Meter Run Regional Title, Coldwater’s Alig Advances In Long Jump

 

(5-26-18)  Two more Mercer County athletes will advance to the State Track and Field Meet next week in Columbus.

Celina’s Lauren Jackson picks up a Regional championship at the DII meet in Piqua winning the 800 meter run, her win gave Celina 10 points in the meet to give the Bulldogs a 25th place finish.

Coldwater Sophomore Katie Alig will advance to the State meet with a fourth place finish in the long jump, while her teammate Jessica Break just missed advancing by finishing 5th in the pole vault. Break’s vault was a new Coldwater school record. The Cavs finished 21st as a team with 12 points.
