(6-9-18) Two Stateline area track and field stars, Parkway’s Sydney Crouch and South Adams’ Addie Wanner  competed today at the 2018 Midwest Meet of Champions in East Lansing, Michigan on the campus of Michigan State.

The Midwest Meet of Champions started in 1974 and features the best senior track and field athletes from Ohio, Indiana and Michigan.

In the girls meet Ohio won the three team meet championship with 246 points, Michigan was 2nd with 222 points and Indiana came in 3rd with 101 points.

Crouch competed in two events for the Ohio All Stars, she was a member of the winning 4×800 meter relay team and was 4th in the 400 meter dash with a time of 59.39.

Wanner competed in three events, she was a member of the 3rd place 4×200 meter relay team, finished 3rd in the high jump and 5th in the long jump.

At the Indiana All Star banquet, held before the meet on Friday night, Wanner was named Indiana’s Miss Field Event.
