(8-1-18) In 2018 Marion Local won the OHSAA D VI State Football (back-to-back) title going 15-0, add the 12 wins in a row from 2016 and that gives them current longest consecutive game winning streak in Ohio with 27 in a row. The Flyers last loss came in the third week of the 2016 season to MAC rival Coldwater 17-14.

MAC member Delphos St. John’s is at the top all-time with 57 consecutive wins. The Blue Jays streak was stopped by Marion Local in the 2000 D VI state semifinals 24-20. In 2nd place all-time is another current MAC member Versailles with 54.
Three other schools ended the 2017 football season with 15-0 records and are tied for 2nd behind the Flyers for consecutive wins, Wheelersburg (D V), Stuebenville (D IV) and Trotwood-Madison (D III).
Marion Local will open the 2018 season in Indiana when they play Woodlan (located on the stateline near Ft. Wayne), who was last season’s Indiana’s Class 2A state runner-up, on Friday, August 24th.
