(12-8-18) The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Friday night accident between a SUV and tractor that took place in the 5000 block of Fleetfoot Road at approximately 7:30 pm .
The SUV was carrying five members of the Coldwater High School Swim Team. 17 year old Emily Prenger of Coldwater was driving with 4 passengers when she struck the rear of a tractor being driven by Hubert Homan of Coldwater. Homan, Prenger and one of Prenger’s passengers, Brianne Burrows were taken by helicopter to Dayton’s Miami Valley Hospital. Prenger’s other passengers, Naomi Cervantes, Laci Schritz and Keaton Freeman were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
According to a tweet at 11am (12-7-18) – At this time four swimmers are still in serious but stable condition and one has been released home. The other driver is also in serious but stable condition.
The Cavs swim team was scheduled to the OSU Invitational today in Columbus.
This incident remains under investigation.

In the United States, the number of deaths in road accidents for the third year does not fall below 40 thousand people. This is very sad. You need to be careful on the road.
