(3-23-19) – The 2019 OHSAA Boys Basketball State Championship Day saw a slight loss of 1,272 in total attendance.
Only the D II championship game (Columbus South vs. Trotwood-Madison) improved over the 2018 attendance with 9,881 fans. The largest decrease came in the D III game (Harvest Prep vs. Lutheran East) with just 7,714 watching.
Critics will point to the two all-Private School championships in D III and D I, both were under 9,000 in attendance. while the two Public School Championship games were both over 9,000.
The three-day tournament took a big hit with a drop in attendance of 27,462.
