(8-31-19) Week one of the high school football season was a good one for the Midwest Athletic Conference going 8-2 in non-conference games. The MAC improved on last season’s first week when they went 7-3 in 2018.
The only two losses happened when Celina knocked off Versailles and Covington surprised St. Henry, both games were home games for the MAC teams.

The Western Buckeye League went 5-5 in its only non-conference week of the season. The WBL went 1-2 against the MAC. St. Marys held on to beat Sidney 25-22, the last time these two will play due to Sidney’s recent conference change. The WBL last season went 7-3 in week one.
