(10-12-19) Joe Eitel’s Week 7 OHSAA HS Football Computer Rankings.
After seven weeks of play Joe Eitel has added some extra categories in the rankings. Not all of them are included with the Regions below, but you can view those added numbers and indicators on his site.
Joe also added two playoff status indicators –
- control own destiny
- mathematically eliminated
In D III Region 12 the WBL’s Wapakoneta (6-1) is ranked #2 and St. Marys (5-2) is #5, the Redskins have been designated as control own destiny. Despite a win on Friday night the Roughriders dropped a spot.
Greenville (5-2) was #9 last week but moves up a spot and holds down the final qualifying spot at #8, the Green Wave have not been to the playoffs since 1996.
In D VI Region 23, after being #1 in the region last week Coldwater (7-0) drops down to #2 this week behind Liberty Center. Both teams are 7-0 on the season, they are also given the control own destiny status. Minster (6-1) remains at #6 this week.
At 1-6 Eitel has designated St. Henry as mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.
Despite being the only other undefeated team in the Region at 7-0, Gibsonsburg drops a spot from #9 to #10, two spots out of top 8.
In D VII Region 28 Marion Local (6-1) retains the top spot and the control own destiny status.
Two Auglaize County schools, Waynesfield-Goshen (5-2) and New Bremen (5-2) are fighting over the final playoff qualifying spot. The Tigers lost a tough one to Riverside on Friday night and dropped four spots to #8, while the Cardinals knocked off Parkway but dropped two spots to #9.
