In an ABC6 TV story Kreemer said after he had been laying on the field for nearly a half-hour –
“I remember looking up and seeing everyone going at it. Honest and truly, I was scared to death.”
Due to his injuries he missed worked this past week due to dizziness.
“We had already had five or six unsportsmanlike, we were sending kids off the field.”
Kreemer told the Columbus Dispatch –
“I remember putting my hand on a Walnut Ridge player’s shoulder and told him to go to his sideline, and then I went down. My wife saw the film and tried to downplay it. She said I just got caught in the middle. I’ve got a lot of bruising, a bad headache and I’m very sore. I’ll be interested to see the film and what the OHSAA does.”
Both schools have playoff hopes, D II Walnut Ridge at 8-0 and is hoping for a 1st round home playoff game, while Marion-Franklin in D IV is sitting at #10 in Region 15. With two weeks remaining in the season will the incident have playoff implications for the two schools? OHSAA executive director Jerry Snodgrass told the Dispatch he is aware of the situation and his office is investigating.
Both Schools should be suspended. end of discussion.
