(11-7-20) The Minster Wildcats girls cross country team finished as the D III State Runner-ups, ending a streak of four titles (2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019) in a row. Minster lost to West Liberty-Salem 55-83.

This was WL-S’s 9th trip to the state meet in the last 12 seasons. Last year they finished as state runner-up to Minster, this is their first-ever girls state title. WL-S was led by Megan Adams with a 5ht place finish, Ashley Yoder was 8th and Addison McAuley was 10th.

MAC members had a good day with, Versailles finishing in 10th place (291), Ft. Recovery finishing in 13th place (373), St. Henry in 16th place (392).

Minster was led by Ella Boate who finished in 6th place with a time of 18:47.5 and Maggie Hemmelgarn with a time of 18:56.4.

Ft. Recovery’s Ellie Will finished in 40th place and St. Henry’s Leah Heitkamp was 77th.

Maplewood’s Caleigh Richards (Freshman) won the individual state title in a time of 18:22.3.
