(4-24-21) Coldwater Coach Brian Harlmert picked up his 500th career Saturday afternoon when his Cavaliers beat Bryan 11-1 in six innings, the first game of a double header.
The win is the 10th on the season for Coldwater. As a bonus for the day the Cavs beat Bryan in the 2nd game 8-6 and Harlamert’s 501st win.
Harlamert, since he became the head coach in 1998 has won at least 13 games every year, during his 23 year career he has won 20 or more games 16 times and has never had a losing season.
Harlamert becomes the 2nd Cavalier baseball coach to reach that milestone joining Hall of Famer Lou Brunswick who won 750 games during his time.
Last season there were no Ohio high school baseball games or state tournament, forcing Harlamert to wait until this season to pick up that 500th career win.
