(6-5-21) 2017 Parkway Grad Clista Hellwarth finished 4th at the NAIA National Track Meet in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Her final javelin throw of 44.11 m (144’8″) was a St. Francis University school record.
Clista just graduated from St. Francis University as a Salutatorian with a perfect 4.0 GPA earning a Bachelor of Science in Education in elementary education with a minor in health.
Clista holds a Parkway school record as a member of the 4X100 relay team. She also had many outstanding performances at St. Francis University for the indoor and outdoor track teams, including:
- School record 60 m hurdles
- School record for the pentathlon
- School record for 100 m hurdles
- School record for 4×100 relay
- School record for javelin
- Conference record for javelin.
The Parkway track teams recently honored Hellwarth as a Coach and Parkway Grad with a new banner for the Parkway weight room.
