(5-1-22) The 17th Hoosier Gym Classic All-Star Basketball Games were played yesterday in Knightstown.

Girls game – Hickory 90 Terhune 85

Homestead grad, UConn commit and 2022 Indiana Miss Basketball Ayanna Patterson scored 21 points and had 12 rebounds to help the Hickory to a 90-85 win over the Terhune.

Garrett grads Morgan Ostrowski and Nataley Armstrong also played for the Hickory girls, both scored two points.

Boys game – Terhune 121 Hickory 117

Central Noble Grad and Wisconsin commit Connor Essegian and Carmel standouts Peter Suder and Charlie Williams scored 24 points each for the Tigers, who came from behind to beat Hickory 121-117.

Joe Reidy of Woodlan scored 10 and DJ Allen of Leo added nine points for the Tigers in the win.

Homestead Grad and Purdue commit Fletcher Loyer led Hickory with 27 points, 12 in the second quarter, and Karson Jenkins of Snider scored 24 points for the Huskers. Central Noble’s Logan Gard added 18 points.
