(6-3-22) The Lincolnview Lancers girls softball team is making the most of their of first trip the final four…beating Hillsdale 5-2 in today’s semifinal game.

The Lancers scored all the runs they would need in the 4th inning crossing the plate 4 times, they would add an insurance run in the top of the 5th.

Lincolnview (25-4) was led by Zadria King who had 2 hits and 2 RBIs, Braxton Sherrick went 1 for 3, scored a run and had 2 RBIs. Taylor Post (13-2) picked up the complete game pitching win striking out 4 and she didn’t walk a batter.

Hillsdale pitcher Taylor Morgan (19-2) gave up 6 hits, had 9 K’s and 4 walks to take the loss.

Tomorrow at 4pm in the DIV State title game the Lancers will play Strasburg-Franklin, who beat Bradford in today’s first game 10-1.

In the first D IV semifinal game today Strasburg-Franklin rolled to a 10-1 win over Bradford to advance to the D IV Championship game tomorrow against Lincolnview.

The Tigers scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning and 3 in the 3rd inning to take a comfortable 7-0 lead, the Raildroaders would score their only run in the 5th inning.

Strausburg-Franklin out hit Broadford 12-4. Bradford would commit 4 errors in the game.

Hayley Reiger’s 3-run homer in the 3rd led the Tigers, with Amelia Spidell and Danielle Wright both getting two hits and 2 RBIs.

Bradford’s Alani Canan went 2 for 3, including a double and scored the only run.
