Van Wert and St. Marys Tie In WBL Tournament, Cougars Pick-Up Overall 2022 WBL Title

(9-22-22) In today’s Western Buckeye League (WBL) Tournament held at Northmoor Golf Course…Van Wert tied St. Marys, both had a 334 team score. The Cougars picked up the regular season with a 9-0 match record and today’s tournament finish clinched the WBL title for 2022.

It is the Cougars 11th overall WBL championship and first since 2012 .

WBL Golf Titles (11): 2022, 12, 07, 03, 02, 1991, 85, 81, 80, 79, 75

Elida’s Carson Harmon picked up the tournament medalist honors shooting an 18-hole 71. Celina’s Nick Steinbrunner shot a 78 to finish 2nd.
