
(10-16-22) Ashley Rison (31) a teacher’s assistant, softball and basketball coach at New Miami High School, is facing up to eight years in prison after she pleaded guilty on Wednesday to sexual battery and gross sexual imposition with a student; upon release she will have to register as a Tier III sex offender. Rison was accused of having sex with a 17-year-old student. She was indicted in January of this year.
Rison’s indictment states that she engaged in sexual conduct with the minor eight different times in April 2021.

Charges of tampering with evidence and furnishing alcohol to an underage person were both dropped.
During the court hearings Assistant Prosecutor Lindsay Sheehan said-
“In addition to what the child tells us, we do have recordings between Ms. Rison and the child of where Ms. Rison makes multiple incriminating statements in asking, begging the child not to report her to the authorities.”
Rison quit her position at New Miami on May 3rd, 2021, the same day the alleged crimes were reported to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
Rison is scheduled to be sentenced on November 16th.
