(10-17-22) The final week of the 2022 Ohio HS football season is this weekend with playoff spots still open.

Celina (6-3) despite a Homecoming loss to WBL rival Wapakoneta (8-1) (ranked 4th in Region 12), according to Joe Eitel, has clinched a D III Region 12 playoff spot. The Bulldogs end the season in the Battle of Grand Lake against D IV St. Marys (7-2) with some huge implications for Celina. A win over the Roughriders, according to Joe Eitel, might give them a home game. A loss would almost guarantee a 1st round road trip.

Parkway (2-7) and Anna (3-6) seem to already be in the playoffs starting with a deciding week 10 game…the winner has an razor thin chance to qualify in D VI Region 24. With 16 teams qualifying in each reason it does allow for losing teams a playoff spot.

Both schools are members of the small school power conference…Midwest Athletic Conference (MAC). But what is keeping the Panthers in the run for a playoff run? 1st year program North Central. The Eagles are presently 6-3 on the season and look to have a good chance to qualify for the playoffs in D VII Region 26…the secondary points received from North Central are keeping Parkway’s chances alive.
