(1-1-24) Kate Middleton, the future Queen of England and Princess of Wales, is one of the most admired royals thanks to her multifaceted combination of factors, including her connection to the royal family, her elegant style, her dedication to charitable work, her down-to-earth demeanor, her family role, her media savvy and her contribution to the modernization of the monarchy.

But one of her strong points that is not often mentioned is her athletic ability.

While a student at Marlborough College, when she started to attend at age 14, Princess Kate played field hockey and was the captain of the team.

The future Queen besides competing field hockey was also a co-captain of the Marlborough tennis team…she was competitive in swimming, the high jump and netball as well.

Even in the recent past…when given the opportunity to play she is more then ready…

According to very recent media reports it looks like Princess Kate’s son, Prince George, might be attending Marlborough College, it would make him the first male heir to the British throne to attend a co-educational school.
