(7-19-26) The defending ACME state champions are one win from doing it again. St. Henry walked off Archbold 6-5 in a game that had everything, and for the second straight summer the Redskins showed why you never count them out.

Archbold jumped ahead 4-0 through three and looked in control. Jack Fullenkamp (Sr) settled in on the mound and the champs chipped away, getting three the fifth to grab the lead. Archbold answered right back, tying it in the seventh and loading the bases with nobody out, but St. Henry escaped without a run on a huge double play turned by Cooper LaGuire (Jr) and an iron curtain day behind the plate from Drew Langenkamp (Sr).

In the bottom of the seventh, St. Henry went back to work. Fullenkamp walked, Tate Boeckman (Sr) and LaGuire singled, and Landon Schwartz (Jr) lined the walk-off single to center.
LaGuire earned They Picked Me player of the game honors.

A tip of the cap to Archbold. The Blue Streaks battled all day, got a gutsy start from Aranjer Krieger (Sr), and their run through District 1 was nothing to hang your head about. A lot of heart in that dugout.

St. Henry plays Fairview for the 2026 ACME state title Monday at 7:00 PM.

Thank you to the Kalida community for hosting a weekend of baseball worth driving for. Incredible games.
