(8-10-26) Decatur (Ill) Eisenhower issued a statement today that they will not be fielding a varsity football teams this season,

The Panthers 2026 opponents include — MacArthur, Lincoln, Southeast, Lanphier, Mascoutah, Mt. Zion, Rochester, U-High, Glenwood — they all now have two options, per IHSA.

  • Accept a forfeit win and not play a Varsity game that week
  • Schedule a different opponent and take the result of what happens on the field vs. the new opponent

The Panthers were just 1-8 last seasont.They went 1-8 in each of the last five years and 0-9 in the two years prior. Not great.

The Panthers are in Division 5A of IHSA classification as members of the Central State Eight Conference.
