(2-23-17) The 2017 SSN Girls High School Basketball Team is dominated by players on the Indiana side of the Stateline.

Three of the five players named this year to the All-SSN Girls Basketball team are from Indiana, including Player of the Year Grace Hunter.  Hunter, who is just a Sophomore, is also the team’s Captain and was the main reason Bellmont won the NE8 title this year.

After a game this season Head Coach Andy Heim told the Journal-Gazette:

“She just kind of takes it all in stride. She has played in big AAU games that have helped her out. She was a leader on the floor that helped us get through that (rally).”

Jay County Senior Taylor Homan has helped the Patriot program dominate the ACAC since joining the conference, winning the ACAC tournament and a share of the ACAC regular season title.

South Adams Junior PG Lexi Dellinger was a key to the success of the Starfires program this season, including a share of the ACAC title,  deadly from the outside and a great overall game.

Ft. Recovery Senior Whitney Will is one of the top inside people in the Stateline area. Will was a key for the Indians this season, she will continue her career at St. Francis University in the fall.
