(3-3-17) The Coldwater Cavaliers are the 2017 OHSAA Division II Girls State Bowling Champions rolling to the title at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

Coldwater finished second in the opening round of the State Tournament with a 3,343 (952, 926, 937) score. Paige Hartings placed 4th overall with 614 (212, 224, 178) series to be honored as an All State First team member. In game 3 Brianna Wenning rolled a team high 266 game.

The Cavs moved into the final round and faced Plain City Jonathon Alder and picking up a 3-0 win (182-147, 172-148, 156-151). Next up in the semifinals Coldwater would pick up another 3-0 win (171-147, 153-115, 197-132).
Girls Division II Championship Round Brackets
The Cavaliers would bowl for the state title against Willard who advanced to the Championship match, who knocked off top seed Springfield Northwestern in the semifinal game 3-1. Looking for a clean sweep in the final round, Coldwater, doing just that, winning the Championship match (167-159, 227-168, 173-146). Impressive way for Coach Rick Hartings and Coldwater to win the title 9-0.
