(4-2-17) This week’s SSN National Softball Player of the Week is Wilde Lake’s (Md) Faith Leslie (5’6 Senior Catcher).
In four consecutive AB’s this past Monday vs. Hammond, she hit four home runs, she hit the ‘cycle of home runs‘, one, two, three and a grand slam (four runs) and 10 RBI’s
Wildecats Head Softball Coach Tee Dronenburg told the Baltimore Sun:
“I told the girls that they saw history made today. I have been around the game of softball for 25 years and I have never seen one player hit four home runs in one game, let alone back-to-back-to-back-to-back at-bats. And I most certainly have never seen someone hit for the cycle of home runs. I doubt I will ever see that happen again. Faith literally put herself in the history books today. I am so happy for her.”
The bad news for the Wildecats, they lost 25-15 to Hammond, but that still didn’t dampen what Leslie had done.
Hear Leslie’s interview after a recent win over Oakland Mills.
