(5-13-13) Today at the Big Ten Conference Track and Field Championships at Penn State, Ohio State’s Sarah Kanney (Coldwater) placed sixth (out of 16) in the 3,000m steeplechase and in the process set a Buckeye school record with her career best time of 10:22.74 (a seven-second improvement).
Kanney broke the 2011 record held by Tori Blink of 10:27.45 to earn three points for the Buckeyes.

Kanney is running the steeplechase this season for the first time in her career, her first year at Ohio State after transferring from North Carolina State..
