Nine high schools, including five members of the Ohio Capital Conference (OCC), recently met to discuss the formation of a new league.

OCC Members

  • Canal Winchester
  • Groveport
  • Lancaster
  • Newark
  • Reynoldsburg

Other schools who have shown interest:

  • Logan
  • Mount Vernon – Ohio Cardinal Conference
  • Teays Valley – Mid-States League
  • Zanesville – East Central Ohio

Canal Winchester Athletics Director Patrick Durbin told This Week:

“I have no idea if it will even come to fruition. There seems to be some interest but nothing solid. We’re not even close to anything happening.”

The OCC next school year will be adding a new school, Olentangy Berlin, the school will open its doors for the first time in the fall of 2018 and will become the 32nd member of the conference.
