
(1-27-18) The Celina Girls team picked up the 2018 Western Buckeye League title winning in convincing style by 124 points over 2nd place O-G. The team had an impressive day by breaking 5 WBL records and finished 1st in 11 out of 24 events.

Celina’s Kennedy Newell had a big day, winning the 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle. She also was a member of the medley and 400 relay teams.
The Bulldogs have now won two titles in 21 years, having also won last year.

- McKenna Black gets 1st in 100 free with a 57.29 Amanda Slechter is 3rd with a 59.27.

- Claire Gass picked up the win in the Individual Medley in a time of 2:21.70
- Kennedy Newell was 1st with a time of 24.92 in the 50 freetyle, McKenna Black comes in with a 3rd place finished with a time of 25.83
- Kennedy Newell breaks school record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:59.5.
- 200 relay team wins and breaks the WBL record with a time of 1:42.02 Conn, Guggenbiller, Rolfes and Black.
- Kenzie Conn picks up a 1st place finish, Guggenbiller 3rd and Gabes 4th in the backstroke.

- Girls 100 butterfly Slechter 2nd and Emma Guggenbiller 4th.
- Diving Samantha Carlin was second
- Celina’s John Robinson wins the WBL boys’ diving title. Teammate Holden Cubberley was fourth
In the boys meet the Bulldogs finished 7th.
Keaton McMurray broke two records on the day to lead Celina.

- 1st in the breast stroke was the Bulldogs’ Keaton McMurray who broke the WBL record with a time of 1:00.30 and 1st in the 200 indivdual medley in a WBL record breaking time of 1:59.17
