(1-8-18) For the second year in a row the Midwest Athletic Conference will have two schools competing for a state title in different divisions.
New Bremen punched their ticket to the D IV match earlier in the day at the Nutter Center, while in D III Versailles gets the opportunity to win another D III title on Saturday.
For the second year in a row the Tigers knocked off Tuscarawas Valley in a semifinal match . Last season Versailles knocked off the Trojans off 25-17, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21, this afternoon they did it in straight set fashion 25-6, 25-21, 25-18.
With the win Versailles will take on Independence who had no trouble with an undefeated Tinora team in the other semifinal match 25-15, 25-22, 25-18.
How strong is the MAC? Versailles finished 6th this season in conference play with a 5-4 record and enters the state final match with 10 losses on the season.
