From his resignation letter to the board of education:
“The expectations I have put on myself and the program have affected me as losing has become too difficult and winning never seems to be enough. I do not have any desire to coach again at any level or anywhere else. It is time for a new era of Cougar basketball.”
Bagley was a varsity assistant coach for 10 seasons with coach Dave Froelich. His best season came this past season when the Cougars went 16-10 and made it to the District Final.
The next Van Wert Board of Education’s next meeting is April 17th when his resignation will be acted on.
