(2-15-20) Yesterday at Minster’s Community Lanes at the OHSAA D II Sectional Tournament the top six schools were all from the Midwest Athletic Conference.

State power Coldwater picked up the title beating 2nd place New Bremen 4,181- 3,857. The Cavs were dominant and never challenged leading after the regulation round with a 2,945 and adding the best Baker games scores with a 1,236, including a game five score of 264.

Joining Coldwater as a team at the Lima Districts next week is New Bremen, St. Henry and Ft. Recovery.

Coldwater’s Michael Schoenherr (Sr) put together a tournament best series of 704 (205, 241, 258), New Bremen’s Nicholas Alig (Soph) rolled a 639 (170, 226, 243) series and St. Henry’s Peyton Thomas (Soph) had a 632 (209, 224, 233) series.

Individuals moving on to Districts in Lima next week include,Minster’s Isaiah Vanderhorst, Parkway’s Thomas Etzler and Marion Local’s Kurtis Billerman.
