Fairview Run Rules South Range To Win The 2021 OHSAA D III State Championship

(6-6-21) The Fairview Apaches made their first visit to the Softball State Finals a good one by winning the D III title over South Range 10-0 in six innings.

Paige Ricica allowed just three hits, struck out 3 in shutting down the South Range hitters to pick up the win from the circle, she also did her part on offense going 2 for 4, weth 2 RBIs and a stolen base.

The Apaches had 12 hits, Olivia Ricica went 2 for 4, with a double, scored two runs and had 4 RBIs. Fairview got 2 hits each from Cassie Mavis, Kiersten Kline and Alyssa Merritt. Clair Shininger had ta hit and wo RBIs.

The Apaches Anna Ankney added another tournament home run during the run.
