(10-16-21) Monday night the Celina City Schools Board of Education will look to approve the hiring of Hall of Famer John Dorner as the new Bulldog head baseball coach.

Dorner’s St. Henry teams won three state titles in all three trips to the final four (1999, 2000, 2003) and five State Poll Championships (1998, 2002, 2003, 2013 and 2014), a 31-2 record in 1999 and a 30-3 record in 2003. St. Henry has seven Midwest Athletic Conference titles during his run – (7): 15, 14, 09, 03, 99, 98, 95 – Dorner is a member of the OHSBCA Hall of Fame and was inducted in 2014. His record as the St. Henry Coach was 544-253. Dorner resigned as baseball coach in June of 2020.
Dorner is no stranger to the Celina City Schools where he taught for many years before moving to his position at St. Henry.
Dorner is also the General Manager for the Grand Lake Mariners.
