(12-25-21) The Marion Local Flyers impact on the national high school football scene continues as they end up ranked as the #13 in the small town MaxPreps football rankings.

The Flyers ended the 2021 season with a perfect 16-0 record and the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) D V II football title. The title was their 12th in school history.

The Top 15 teams also included another Ohio school…Clinton-Massie at #15 who came from behind to win the D IV title.

Texas had seven on the list, including the first five out of the top six spots. Iowa had two, Georgia, Nebraska Oklahoma and Pennsylvania each had one on the list.

Six of the schools on the list went undefeated, including #1 China Springs (Tx).
