(12-24-21) Joe Niekamp has been selected to be inducted into the St. Henry Coaches Wall of Fame. Niekamp coached the Redskins Varsity Boys Basketball for 9 years picking up 145 wins…including the 2004 OHSAA DIII State Championship.
Before his stop in St. Henry Niekamp had coached in Alaska and was an Assistant Coach at Celina for several years.
Niekamp’s family includes to other successful head coaches, Pat and Ron,
Niekamp will be Inducted on January 22nd following the JV boys basketball game vs Wapakoneta.
Niekamp led the Redskins to the 2004 OHSAA D III State title beating Versailles 61-49. They beat Loudonville 44-41 in the semifinal game to advance.
