(2-18-22) Despite a winter snow storm…Mother Nature could not stop the Coldwater girls bowling team from winning the Nortwest District D II Sectional title at Minster’s Community Lanes.
The Cavs outdistanced St. Marys 3,773-3,446 to win the title, Ft. Recovery finished 3rd with a 3,387 score. All three teams advance to the next step in the tournament.

Coldwater placed three bowlers in the top 4…Lily Schoenherr was the individual champion with 611 series (206, 183, 222), teammate Jasmine Schulze was second with 602 series (214, 189, 199) and the Cavs Julie Bertke was 4th with a 584 series( 242, 167, 175).
St. Marys was led by Kayla Homan’s 6th place finish with a 533 series (164, 171,198) and Ft. Recovery was led by Abagail Lauber with a 5th place finish and a 549 series (183, 189, 177).

Three individual qualifiers who will move on were New Bremen Freshmen Marina Nelson who was 3rd with a 588 series (237, 162,189), teammate Megan Ritter finished in a tie for 7th with 515 series (159, 184, 172) and Bath’s Jenna Sprague finished 10th with a 505 series (166,162, 177).
