(7-16-22) The South All-Stars picked up its second-straight win in the series beating the North All-Stars 14-0 in the 2022 Murat Shrine North/South Football All-Star Classic presented by the Indiana Football Coaches Association in Indianapolis at Ben Davis High School on Friday night. With the win the South holds a 29-26 overall lead in the series, the shutout was the third in the All-Star series history and first since 1996.

North captain and Eastside’s Laban Davis was named the North MVP.
Mount Vernon’s Gehrig Slunaker was named the South’s MVP. He completed 14 of 21 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns and a successful pass for a two-point conversion.
Adam Central’s Blake Heyerly on defense saved a touchdown with an interception in the end zone late in the first quarter.
Joining Davis as one of the four North captains was Churubusco’s Hunter Bianski, who had two sacks in the game.
