(7-22-22) The Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) Board of Directors are celebrating the success of the association’s income flourishing this past year.

The Board met on June 9th and approved the financial report and the budget for the 2022-23 school year.

The good news is that that the OHSAA was $3.3 million ahead of projected budget revenue for this year. Member schools had a lot to do with the positive cash flow by paying participation fees and not receiving compensation for travel and tournament host sites being given less financial support then in the past.

During the budget hearing of the meeting the OHSAA Finance committee and finance team were thanked for their work. The members schools were not mentioned for some of the sacrifices they made.

Not mentioned was the future of participation fees future for member schools, high ticket prices for tournament events and possible additional financial support for schools tournament expenses and tournament hosts.
